Spring 2010 Gregorian Chant Workshop

To interested participants,

The newly founded Schola Cantorum of Delaware County is offering a workshop with the purpose of developing a renewed interest in the treasury of Catholic Sacred Music known as Gregorian chant. We will learn to sing this truly captivating repertoire of Liturgical Music over the course of seven sessions culminating with the celebration of the Mass Liturgy in the Ordinary Form on Pentecost Sunday afternoon, May 23 at 4:00 PM (sung, Latin a.k.a. “Missa Cantata” or Sung Mass.) This spring’s workshop will be hosted by St. Anastasia Church in Newtown Square, PA. If you are interested as a possible member of the Schola, the following schedule is provided.
